Alicia Furey-Jenkins (owner)
Aline therapists are certified and valued members of our team. They participate in ongoing professional education and staff training. Our therapists are passionate, experienced, trustworthy, and committed to helping each child succeed.
Alicia is a nationally board-certified occupational therapist and licensed in the State of New Jersey. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise physiology and health studies from the University of Delaware. After completing her affiliation at the Children’s Hospital in Oakland California, she earned her masters’ degree in Occupational Therapy from Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California. Alicia has been practicing OT for over ten years. She has experience in acute care, home health, early intervention, school -based and outpatient pediatric therapy.
Alicia has specialized training in the handwriting without tears program, ALERT program, interactive metronome, and Zones of Regulation. Additional continuing education includes sensory processing, visual perceptual skills, reflex integration, and yoga for sensory needs. She is certified in stand-up paddle board yoga and in 2018 started a paddle board program for children with special needs called SUP LUV. Alicia incorporates her love for the outdoors into her practice. She leads an active lifestyle with her husband, two children and dog.
Heather Norton MS, OTR/L
Heather is a national board certified occupational therapist and is licensed in the states of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She has been a practicing occupational therapist for over 23 years. She received her Bachelor of Arts in sociology from Mount Saint Mary’s University and her Masters of Science in occupational therapy from Temple University. She has extensive experience in sub-acute rehabilitation, home care, early intervention, and school-based pediatric therapy. Heather has specialized training in the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum and the Zones of Regulation program. She has taken multiple continuing education courses on executive functioning skills, sensory processing, and assistive technology. Heather enjoys cooking, gardening, hiking, the beach and spending time with her four children and her husband.
Julia Malpass Mot, OTR/L
Julia is a certified and licensed Occupational Therapist in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She graduated from Alvernia University with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy and a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Science. Julia has experience through clinical affiliations at Reading Hospital and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She has professional experience working in outpatient pediatrics and the school setting. Julia has been passionate about working in pediatrics since as long as she can remember. She is currently working in the school setting with Aline-Therapy. and she also currently works in the pediatric outpatient setting. Julia has received specialized training in Handwriting Without Tears and the Zones of Regulation. She frequently attends continuing education courses in order to stay up to date in best practice for pediatric occupational therapy. Julia utilizes a team-based and holistic approach to assist children in reaching their occupational therapy goals. In her free time Julia loves to explore nature by running, biking, hiking, and swimming. She especially enjoys spending time with her family, friends and dog.
Sara Brandt, DPT
Earned her degree from University of the Sciences. She completed her pediatric affiliation at Sensory Freeway in Brooklyn, NY. Sara has been practicing therapy for 3 years. She has experience in School Districts as well as various skilled nursing facilities. Her hobbies include spending time with family and friends at the beach in LBI and shopping at Home Goods.
Ginamarie Krol , OT
Ginamarie is a certified and licensed Occupational Therapist in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She graduated from Philadelphia University with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rowan University. Ginamarie has been a practicing Occupational Therapist for 10 years. She has professional experience working in outpatient, home care and acute care settings. Ginamarie believes in a collaborative, evidence-based, approach in order to provide the best outcomes possible for students to achieve their goals. She frequently completes continuing education courses in order to implement the most relevant and appropriate evidence-based practice interventions. In her free time, Ginamarie enjoys spending time with her husband and three children along with going to the beach and practicing yoga.
Patti Mackey OTR/L: Patti is a nationally board-certified and NJ state licensed occupational therapist. She received her bachelors of science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Hartford in Connecticut. She has been working in the school system as a school based occupational therapist for over twenty years in multiple school districts in the area. She has specialized training in Handwriting Without Tears and the Alert Program. Patti is also a licensed foster parent and has completed instruction in trauma informed approach to therapy. She resides locally with her husband and four children.
Valerie Weaver, DPT: Valerie is a New Jersey licensed physical therapist. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Elizabethtown College in 2012. She then went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Valerie has been practicing physical therapy for over seven years. She has experience working with children in schools and in outpatient settings. Valerie also works with geriatric adults in a sub-acute rehabilitation center. Her hobbies include crafting, running, exercising, and spending time with her fiancé and her dog.
Laura Klein, MS, OTR/L: earned her Masters of Science degree from West Coast University Center for Graduate Studies in Los Angeles, California and received her Bachelor of Science in Recreation Management at Arizona State University, Tempe. She completed her clinical fieldwork in a variety of settings, including pediatric outpatient clinics, mental health, and schools. Laura has received additional training in the areas of trauma-informed care for youth and Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) Approach to Babies and Children. She has also completed continuing education courses in SOS Approach to Feeding and Re-Thinking Picky Eating. Laura was inspired to become a pediatric occupational therapist after years of working closely with children and families while volunteering as a Wish Granter with Make-A-Wish Foundation. In her free time, Laura enjoys running and spending time outdoors with her husband, son, and dog.
Shayla Giosia MOT, OTR/L: Shayla is a Board-certified occupational therapist and licensed in the States of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. After earning her degree at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, Shaly completed her fieldwork at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children and Cooper University Hospital. Shayla’s hobbies include yoga, playing softball, being outdoors and spending time with her husband.
